Chopper
The two-blade rotary chopper is shaft driven directly from
the snapping unit gearbox. All the stalks are chopped immediately
after they feed through the snapping rolls.
Chopper
gearboxes are sturdily built to ensure trouble-free operation.
High-speed knives are reversible for long life.
The
chopper can be easily disengaged by the operator if unusual
conditions do not require it.
Headers
are also available without the chopping feature for producers
who require a high quality, value priced corn head.

Auger
One of the largest diameter augers in the industry handles
high crop volume smoothly and evenly. The center section is
factory fitted with extended flighting to handle high volumes
of material. The center extended flighting is removable and
can be replaced with fingers for positive, even feed to wide
combine feeders. Auger is protected by a torque-limiting clutch.
Snapping
Rolls
Harvestec’s extra long, aggressive snapping rolls are
built extra-tough for longer wear. Hardened bolt-on flutes
are replaceable without the cost of replacing the complete
roll. Each snapping roll is front supported on re-greaseable
needle bearings. Standard vine and grass knives prevent grass,
weeds and damp stalks from wrapping.

Gathering
Chains and Sprockets
Long life gathering chains are self-adjusting and spring tensioned.
Drive and idler sprockets are made from long lasting hardened
steel and feature heavy-duty, sealed bearings. |
 |
Drive
Chains
Heavy-duty drive chains are enclosed in an oil-bath housing,
eliminating time-consuming daily maintenance. |
 |
Individual
Row Unit Clutches
Each row unit is protected from excessive loads by a torque-limiting
clutch, which prevents damage to gearboxes and gathering chains. |
 |
Heavy
Duty Row Unit Gearbox
Rugged snapping unit gearbox with heavy-duty gears and bearings
driving the snapping rolls and gathering chains. Built for
years of trouble-free harvesting in high yielding corn and
tough conditions.

Snouts
and Dividers
Snouts and dividers on 20" to 30" models are made
from rugged plastic material that resists rusting and impact
damage. They open upwards for convenient service access and
further folding action reduces width for transport and storage.
Their white colour is highly visible in low light and night
harvesting conditions. |
